  • Fallback Mechanism: If location data is unavailable or processing fails, we use standard non-location advertising
  • No Precise Coordinates: We use general location information (city/region level) only, never precise GPS coordinates for advertising

AI Data Processing

🤖 Zero AI Data Retention

Our AI partner (Mistral AI) processes your data to generate recommendations but does not store or retain your personal information. Your data is immediately deleted after processing.

We use Mistral AI to provide intelligent, contextual recommendations. Here's how we protect your privacy:

  • Data is processed in real-time and not stored by the AI provider
  • No personal identifiers are sent to AI services
  • All AI interactions are encrypted and anonymized
  • You can opt out of AI features at any time

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data:

  • Open the moodXplore app
  • Go to your Profile
  • Scroll down and expand the Danger Zone section
  • Tap Delete Account
  • Follow the confirmation prompts to complete deletion

Option 2: Web Form

Submit a deletion request through our online form:

  • Visit https://moodxplore.app/account-deletion/
  • Enter the email address associated with your account
  • Submit your request

Option 3: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@moodxplore.app with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your moodXplore account
  • A brief description of your request

What Happens After Your Request

  • Processing Time: We will process your deletion request within 30 days
  • Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation when your data has been deleted
  • Complete Deletion: All your personal data will be permanently deleted, including your account information, location history, mood preferences, and usage data
  • No Data Retention: We do not retain any personal data after deletion

Third-Party Social Login

If you signed up using Facebook or another social login provider, disconnecting moodXplore from your social account settings will also trigger automatic deletion of your data from our systems.

Age Restrictions

👶 13+ Only

This app is designed for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Location-Enhanced Advertising and Children Under 13

For users under 13, additional protections apply to location-enhanced advertising:

  • No Location Enhancement: Location-enhanced advertising is disabled for children under 13
  • Standard Ads Only: Children see only contextual, non-personalized advertisements
  • Parental Control: Parents can verify that location enhancement is disabled for child accounts
  • Privacy Protection: No location-derived advertising keywords generated for children
  • Immediate Fallback: System automatically uses standard advertising for child accounts

moodXplore is intended for users 13 years and older. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission
  • Adequacy decisions for certain countries
  • Privacy Shield or similar frameworks where applicable
  • Binding corporate rules for intra-group transfers

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:

  • Account Data: Until you delete your account
  • Location Data: 30 days, then anonymized
  • Usage Data: 2 years for analytics, then deleted
  • AI Interaction Data: Immediately deleted after processing
  • Technical Data: 1 year, then anonymized
